Came across this brand loyalty chart this morning:

Toyota at the top? Not surprising.

Fiat at the bottom? Also not surprising…tiny U.S. footprint.

That said, Stellantis has multiple of its brands clustered near the bottom, which is a much tougher position to defend on a loyalty chart like this.

Curious to see how these rankings look for Stellantis a year from now…

'Stuck inside these four walls': What one parts director learned from working outside auto

Vince McIsaac came to Hawk Auto Group 12 years ago, from computer consulting and warehouse ops, with almost no automotive background.

But instead of seeing that as a weakness, he used it to modernize manual processes, tighten logistics, and rethink pricing strategies that were chasing volume at the expense of gross.

His view is simple: Parts isn’t a commodity business, and sometimes it takes someone from outside the “four walls” to question the habits everyone else accepts.

Canada tightens auto import rules to push local production

Canada is tightening its auto import rules, signaling that automakers will need to build and invest locally or face higher surtaxes on imported vehicles.

The move follows cuts to remission quotas for GM and Stellantis and comes ahead of the next USMCA review.

Bottom line: As production and sourcing decisions shift, changes in model mix, pricing, and availability could follow across North America.

First Brands nears creditor deal as Ford, GM back asset sales

Bankrupt supplier First Brands is nearing a creditor agreement as it moves to sell its four business lines separately, after failing to secure a single buyer amid fraud allegations tied to its founder.

Ford and GM are supporting the process and have prepaid for parts to help keep operations stable during the transition.

That said: Ford, which sources components from three of the four units, has warned that prolonged uncertainty could create production risk if the assets aren’t placed with stronger operators soon.
