1. Certain brands can’t hold off on incentives any longer
New vehicle inventory levels have bounced back from the June cyberattack, but certain brands are still dealing with an excess of unsold models.

Rivian is now offering used R1T pickups and R1S SUVs through its pre-owned vehicle division, now available in California and Illinois.
Customers get a factory warranty, Carfax report, and a 7-day return policy, with vehicles available for pickup in just a few weeks. And a quick glance shows used models like the 2023 R1T Adventure priced at $62,370 — well under the sticker price of a new 2025 version.
