Stellantis has expanded fast-charging access in North America—underscoring a different facet of its recalibrated approach to electrification.
The details: The automaker announced last week that Dodge, Jeep, Ram, Fiat, and Maserati BEV customers can now access Tesla V3 and V4 Superchargers.
To access the fast chargers, BEV owners must use a Free2move Charge NACS-to-CCS1 DC adapter, available for purchase at Stellantis LEV-certified dealerships or on Mopar.com.
Customers can also access Tesla “Magic Dock” Superchargers with a built-in adapter; only Stellantis-approved NACS adapters are compatible with Tesla Superchargers.
What they’re saying: “Stellantis is dedicated to delivering a reliable and convenient ownership experience for all of our BEV customers,” a Stellantis spokesperson told CDG News, via email. “Enhancing access to the public charging ecosystem benefits our customers by giving them more options for fast charging stations.”
Why it matters: Broader access to Tesla’s charging network could help ease one of the biggest barriers in EV sales: customer anxiety over public charging—giving Stellantis retailers a practical selling point as they work to build confidence in the brand’s EV lineup.

Between the lines: Stellantis’ fast-charging expansion is a clear sign the automaker is not entirely backpedaling on BEVs as it ramps up gas-powered offerings to regain traction and grow profits.
In December, Dodge announced that the 2027 model-year Charger Daytona Scat Pack will include a J1772-to-NACS AC adapter as standard equipment.
The automaker is also preparing to launch the all-electric Jeep Recon—touted as the industry’s first fully electric Trail Rated SUV—later this year.
“Electrification continues to be an important part of Stellantis' commitment to Freedom of Choice for our customers worldwide, offering vehicles that satisfy their needs in performance and capability,” said the Stellantis spokesperson. “Today, that freedom includes battery electric and hybrid powertrains alongside internal combustion engines. In the near future, we will add Range Extended EV propulsion tailored for full-size pickups and SUVs.”
Bottom line: Stellantis dealers now have a stronger ownership and convenience message in EV conversations. As the automaker widens its powertrain mix, easier access to fast charging could help support BEV demand and improve shopper confidence in the near term.
