Jeep CEO Bob Broderdorf is focused on growing Jeep fandom with an appealing product lineup that extends beyond the iconic Wrangler—to regain traction in the market.

The details:  As part of his turnaround strategy, Broderdorf is leaving no stone unturned to ensure that Jeep designs and builds vehicles that appeal to its core audience and consumers that might be considering the brand, as detailed in a recent ABC News story.

  • The auto veteran has made 81 changes at Jeep in the last couple of months, “some tiny, some big”—to deliver the right content at the right price.

  • Broderdorf regularly scrolls through Jeep Reddit threads, reading customer comments and complaints—even replying sometimes.

In his own words: “My first goal, quite frankly, is to create a level of consistency in our foundation and focus on our core audience. Given the state of the company, I very much [want to] create a level of calm,” said Broderdor.

Why it matters: Broderdorf’s approach signals a shift toward deeply listening to customers, rapidly acting on feedback, and refining the brand’s product lineup to meet both enthusiast expectations and broader consumer tastes.

Between the lines: Product is central to Broderdorf’s turnaround plan—with a focus on expanding Jeep’s portfolio with new models and a mix of powertrain offerings, while improving vehicles currently in the lineup.

  • New products slated for launch include the Jeep Recon EV and the 2026 Cherokee, which will feature a new hybrid powertrain and all-wheel drive, and arrives in dealerships later this year.

  • The Jeep CEO also has plans for its premium models, the Jeep Wagoneer and Grand Wagoneer, as well as the newly launched all-electric Wagoneer S, which has faced some market challenges.

In his own words: “There are many products where we haven't properly told the story to consumers, or those products require enhancements that I think we can improve and attract a much bigger audience,” he added.

Bottom line: Jeep CEO Bob Broderdorf is focused on a decisive, product-driven turnaround to reassert the brand’s strength in the SUV market—with launches like the Recon EV and 2026 Cherokee, plus strategic upgrades across the lineup. The mandate is clear: rebuild market share, restore profitability, and cement Jeep’s position as a leader in key segments of the SUV market.
