JLR recalls Range Rover, Defender, Discovery, and Jaguar mild hybrids over electrical converter failures.
Jaguar Land Rover recalled 23,677 mild hybrid Land Rover and Jaguar models, including Range Rover Sport and Defender, because a power converter can overload or shut down at start-up, cutting 12-volt charging and eventually causing loss of motive power and exterior lighting, which increases crash risk.

Safety Risk: A failed DCDC converter stops 12-volt system charging and triggers a red "Stop Safely Electrical Fault Detected" warning. If the driver keeps going, the vehicle can lose motive power and coast to a stop, and eventually lose exterior lighting. Loss of power or lighting increases the risk of a crash.
Possible Warning Signs: A red "Stop Safely Electrical Fault Detected" message appears within 10 seconds of the failure. As the 12-volt system drains, additional warnings may appear. The vehicle may then shift into Neutral with a gearbox fault, and the center screen and air conditioning switch off.

Ford expands January recalls to over 300,000 vehicles for rollaway and safety-related defects.
Ford has added a major new safety campaign in January, recalling more than 272,000 vehicles over a transmission issue that can prevent Park from fully engaging. The automaker is also addressing a separate safety-related defect affecting older Ford and Lincoln models, bringing the combined total to nearly 300,000 vehicles.
