Polestar is preparing its biggest product push yet, laying out plans for four new EV launches between now and 2028 as the brand tries to move deeper into high-demand segments of the electric market.
The details: Per an announcement shared yesterday, Polestar is planning to steadily expand its lineup over the next three years, starting with higher-end performance models before moving into more mainstream premium territory.
The rollout includes:
The Polestar 5, a four-door EV, with deliveries expected to begin this summer.
A new version of the Polestar 4, arriving in Q4 2026 as the brand looks to reach a wider range of buyers.
A next-gen replacement for the Polestar 2 sedan, scheduled for early 2027.
And the Polestar 7, a compact SUV planned for 2028.
The same release also said the brand expects low double-digit retail volume growth in 2026 and plans to continue expanding its retail footprint as it scales.

Driving the strategy: CEO Michael Lohscheller framed the product wave as a shift toward higher-demand areas of the EV market, rather than relying on one or two flagship models.
“We are targeting the heart of the EV market, where customer demand and profit pools are high,” Lohscheller wrote, adding, “Combined with our continued retail sales network expansion and a growing customer base, we are setting the foundations for profitable growth and operational improvement.”
Still: Not all of these models are confirmed for U.S. availability yet, so the next three years will show whether Polestar’s expansion translates into meaningful volume growth, or simply more competition in an already crowded global EV market.
