Nissan revealed its 2027 Rogue Hybrid Monday (Sept. 21), which is slated to start arriving on lots this fall at a starting price of $35,490.
Driving the news: The Nissan Rogue Hybrid launch comes after the OEM posted a 0.4% increase in sales through the second quarter.
Nissan, which reports sales quarterly, sold 135,970 Rogues through the first six months of the year, an increase of 24% year over year.
No other Nissan model sold more than 76,000 in the first half of the year.
What’s new: The new Rogue Hybrid hits the market as hybrids surge in demand, with gas prices approaching $4.50 per gallon, according to AAA.
The Rogue Hybrid equipped with the Nissan hybrid e‑POWER system is estimated at up to 40 mpg city, 36 mpg highway, and 38 mpg combined.
The 2027 Nissan Rogue Hybrid features a standard 12.3-inch touchscreen with wireless Apple CarPlay and wireless Android Auto and a 15-watt Qi2 magnetic wireless charger.
It also has upgrades to the ProPILOT Assist and Intelligent Cruise Control to assist drivers.
What they’re saying: "The all-new Rogue Hybrid is exactly what customers have been asking for: the functionality, technology and packaging of a Rogue, now paired with an advanced hybrid powertrain that enhances efficiency while delivering a dynamic driving experience," said Ponz Pandikuthira, senior vice president, chief product and planning officer, Nissan Americas, in a press release.
"By listening closely to customers and designing around their needs, we've created a hybrid SUV that delivers an agile and spirited driving experience while adding the benefits of a hybrid powertrain. The instantaneous torque delivery, with a quiet and efficient powertrain, will redefine what hybrid means in this segment."

Production news: The Rogue Hybrid will be assembled at Nissan Motor Kyushu in Japan, according to the OEM’s press release.
In an interview with CNBC, Christian Meunier, chairman of Nissan Americas, said they will be looking to step up production at its U.S. plants in Tennessee and Mississippi to produce 1 million vehicles annually domestically.
“We’re now maxing out the production capacity in the U.S.,” Meunier told CNBC. “The next step is going to be three shifts, and I’m pretty optimistic that with the launch of the new Rogue that is happening in the next couple months, we’ll be able to do that pretty quickly with the launch of the hybrid.”
Bottom line: The new Rogue Hybrid brings another top hybrid model to the market as demand continues to build.
