Jaguar Land Rover has issued one of its largest recalls in recent years, impacting roughly 170,000 vehicles in the U.S., as the automaker continues working to grow its market share.
The details: The recall stems from a faulty converter used in certain JLR mild-hybrid models that could cause a complete loss of drive power and exterior lighting, increasing crash risk, according to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.
Affected vehicles include Range Rover, Defender, and Discovery models from model years 2019–2024.
The recall also includes the Jaguar F-Pace and E-Pace from model years 2021–2024 and 2021–2022, respectively.
Jaguar Land Rover is working on a fix and will begin notifying customers of the safety risk and next steps by mail starting June 12, with follow-up notices to come once a repair is available.

On the other hand, the 2026 Jaguar I-Pace holds a score of 81 out of 100 on J.D. Power’s consumer rating, including an 83 for quality and reliability, qualifying it as “Great.”
