INFINITI is leaning further into the premium SUV space with its newly priced and restructured 2026 QX80 lineup.
The details: The refreshed full-size SUV comes in four trims (PURE, LUXE, SPORT, and AUTOGRAPH), starting at $83,750 for the base PURE RWD and topping out at $111,500 for a fully loaded AUTOGRAPH 4WD (plus $2,190 destination).
That puts the QX80 squarely in Escalade and Wagoneer pricing territory, which is above where the model traditionally competed.
So what’s new: The biggest structural change is the new SPORT trim, slotted between LUXE and AUTOGRAPH.
It has an aggressive exterior design with 22-inch wheels, dark accents, and a unique bumper treatment
Blue-on-black leather interior with diamond stitching
And massaging front seats, ambient lighting, and a 24-speaker Klipsch audio system. All standard.
Under the hood: INFINITI says no changes were made to the powertrain. Because all trims retain the 3.5L twin-turbo V6, paired with a 9-speed automatic, putting out 450 hp and 516 lb-ft of torque.
Why this line-up matters: This move aligns with INFINITI’s broader brand refresh launched in 2023, centered on streamlined packaging, minimalist design, and a more premium showroom experience.
Plus, the nearly $28K spread between base and top trims also gives dealers room to guide customers by budget, features, and interior preferences, especially for buyers hovering near the six-figure line.
What they’re saying: “A year after its dramatic introduction, the INFINITI QX80 continues to elevate the standard in luxury SUVs, thrilling INFINITI clients with bold design and technology, while propelling strong sales at INFINITI retailers,” Tiago Castro, vice president, INFINITI Americas, said.
The risk: INFINITI has historically competed in this area of the market by offering near-luxury at a value. This new positioning nearly removes that buffer altogether.
Bottom line: This is INFINITI testing whether it can charge like a luxury brand without discounting like one. If the product delivers, it’s a smart step forward. If not, the QX80 risks being priced out of a segment INFINITI clearly wants to win in.
