Alex Perdikis, owner and CEO of Koons Motors just had one of his biggest sales months ever at his Ford dealership in May, and he knows exactly why—Ford's employee pricing program is driving customers to his showroom faster than he's seen in years.

"Things have been good. I'm really proud. This is one of those moments where you're proud to be a Ford dealer and you're just so happy they stepped up and came out with this program," Perdikis told Daily Dealer Live hosts Sam D'Arc and Yossi Levi.

Why it matters: With tariffs threatening to drive new car prices even higher, Ford's "From America, For America" program (extended through July 6) offers customers meaningful savings at exactly the right time.

"You actually get Ford factory employee pricing," Perdikis explains. "If you're coming in looking at a new Explorer, you're getting the same price as that Ford executive who's been with Ford for 20 years."

The details: The discount averages roughly 15% off MSRP depending on the model. 

  • Ford removes markup, holdback, and advertising costs from the customer price, then reimburses dealers for the difference.

  • And almost every Ford vehicle qualifies for employee pricing. Only specialty vehicles like Raptors and brand-new models are excluded. 

  • Otherwise, every customer conversation starts from the same baseline price.

"It's simple for the customer, it's simple for the employees, it's simple from a marketing message," Perdikis says.

Why it works: The program positions discounts as insider access rather than sales promotions—eliminating some skepticism from customers. 

  • Basically, simple, powerful incentives work during uncertain economic periods.

  • And with roughly 80% of its lineup built in America, "Ford's positioned really, really well," Perdikis says.

Bottom line: Ford's employee pricing program is driving massive dealer volume through radical simplicity. No complex calculations, no qualification requirements, no customer confusion. Other manufacturers watching their dealers struggle with complex rebate structures might want to take note. Sometimes, the most effective strategy is also the most straightforward.
