Driving the news: Victory Automotive Group bought one Nissan dealership and sold another in separate August deals.
For context: On Aug. 31, the Ann Arbor, Mich.-based retailer purchased Napoli Nissan in Connecticut from Lenny Napoli.
They renamed the store Ocean Nissan Milford.
Prior to that, Victory on Aug. 10 sold Victory Nissan Chesterton, in that Indiana city, to Scott Pharr.
The sale marked Pharr’s first dealership. He renamed the dealership Pharr Nissan of Chesterton.
He detailed the journey, which included a tornado, in an Aug. 31 DDL episode hosted by Sam D’Arc.
Strategic note: Victory, which owns more than 70 dealerships across the country, has stayed busy this spring/summer.
The group also completed a three-store transaction in early August in its home state.
And, on June 23, Victory acquired a Honda dealership from John Howerton in Beckley, W. Va.
