Driving the news: Victory Automotive Group, of Ann Arbor, Mich., purchased three dealerships in its own backyard from Germain Motor Co. The deal closed Aug. 3.
For context: Purchased were Germain Honda of Ann Arbor, Volkswagen of Ann Arbor, and Audi Porsche Ann Arbor, all in that college town that is home to the University of Michigan.
Victory Automotive renamed the stores Victory Honda Ann Arbor, Volkswagen Ann Arbor, and Audi Ann Arbor and Porsche Ann Arbor, the group confirmed to CDG News by email.
The dealerships are about two miles away from Michigan Stadium.
Germain Motor, of Columbus, Ohio, exited the state with the sale.
The Tim Lamb Group represented the sellers.
Worth noting: Victory Automotive purchased a Nissan store in Connecticut in an Aug. 31 deal, while it divested a Nissan store in Indiana on Aug. 10.
The group also purchased a Honda dealership in Beckley, W. Va., in June.
