Looking to boost sales: The Nissan Altima has trailed 2025 sales by nearly 20,000 units through the third quarter of 2026, with 56,424 sold.

  • In the third quarter alone, the carmaker sold 14,136 Altimas, which was just 51 behind 2025’s third quarter.

  • It was Nissan’s second-best-selling sedan behind the Sentra, which has sold 112,439 this year.

Bottom line: With a relatively small price increase and deliveries of the new Nissan Altima expected to ramp up this month, the automaker is likely looking to regain market share in the coming months.
