Driving the news: In a notice sent out by federal regulators, Honda is recalling 256,603 hybrid Accords from model years 2023-2025, due to “improper software programming.”

  • Essentially, software in the integrated control module can reset during driving and cause loss of control.

  • As of November 6, 2025, Honda had 832 warranty claims and no reports of injury or death related to this issue, per the report.

Bottom line: Honda will notify affected owners by letter starting January 5, 2026. And as always, all repairs will be completed at no charge to customers.
