Driving the news: In a notice sent out by federal regulators, Honda is recalling 256,603 hybrid Accords from model years 2023-2025, due to “improper software programming.”
Essentially, software in the integrated control module can reset during driving and cause loss of control.
As of November 6, 2025, Honda had 832 warranty claims and no reports of injury or death related to this issue, per the report.
Bottom line: Honda will notify affected owners by letter starting January 5, 2026. And as always, all repairs will be completed at no charge to customers.
