Driving the news: General Motors is recalling nearly 12,000 models of certain 2025-26 Chevrolet Silverado 3500 and GMC Sierra 3500 trucks because the rear fuel pump may not transfer adequate fuel to the front tank, causing a stalled engine.
For context: Per the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), the issue could affect the truck models above with gasoline engines and dual-fuel tanks (RPOs L8T and N2N).
The remedy: The vehicle’s engine control module will be updated for free via a dealer or through an over-the-air update.
Owner notices are expected to go out on April 20, and drivers can check VINs here.
This recall (NHTSA N262544420) was submitted March 5.
