Dodge is looking to build on the momentum of its gas-powered Charger by bringing back its popular Power Dollars incentive.

The details: The promotion gives retail buyers of a new 2026 model-year SIXPACK-powered Charger a $10 cash allowance for every horsepower.

  • Buyers of the 420-horsepower Dodge Charger R/T and R/T Plus SIXPACK models are eligible for a $4,200 cash allowance.

  • Customers who choose the 550-horsepower Dodge Charger Scat Pack and Scat Pack Plus SIXPACK models qualify for a $5,500 cash allowance.

What they’re saying: "Nobody rewards horsepower like Dodge," said Matt McAlear, Dodge CEO, per a press statement. "Our customers relish power, and Power Dollars helps give them more for less.”

Why it matters: The return of the Power Dollars program underscores Dodge's confidence in the renewed appeal of its gasoline-powered Charger while giving dealers a proven incentive to help drive showroom traffic and close more sales.

Between the lines: The relaunch comes as gas-powered Charger sales surge, with confirmation that a new supercharged V8 Hellcat is in development, potentially adding even more excitement around the nameplate.

  • During the first six months of 2026, Dodge sold 4,583 gas-powered Chargers, up 181% from 1,630 during the same period last year, according to Carscoops.

  • Second-quarter Charger sales jumped 404%, rising from 578 units to 2,911.

  • By contrast, Charger Daytona EV sales fell 88% in the first half of the year from 4,299 deliveries, with second-quarter sales dropping to 294 units from 2,352 a year earlier.

Bottom line: Dodge's latest incentive strategy reflects the continued strength of consumer demand for performance-oriented gasoline vehicles, with growing anticipation for the Charger Hellcat potentially driving more buyers to the showroom, even as the future of the Charger Daytona EV remains uncertain.
