Driving the news: On September 4, Chris Turner sold Mid-Hudson Subaru in Wappingers Falls, New York, to VIP Automotive Group, including all real estate, according to deal advisors The Presidio Group.
For context: VIP Automotive Group now operates nine locations across Long Island, New Jersey, and New York, with three Subaru stores in its portfolio.
The group is planning to expand the service shop and parking capacity of this newly acquired location to accommodate high buyer demand.
This is the third Subaru dealership transaction Presidio has facilitated this year.
Why it matters: From Presidio’s perspective, there is a strong appetite for Subaru dealerships as the brand continues its growth streak. It’s now a premium acquisition target for expanding dealership groups like VIP that are willing to reinvest in desirable markets.
