Driving the news: Ross Downing Auto Group purchased Encore Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep, Ram in Mobile, Alabama from Joey Accardi and Julie Chapman in a deal that closed January 12.

It marks the fifth rooftop for the Louisiana-based group, and its first in a new state.
The growing group sold about 9,600 vehicles and earned more than $500 million in annual revenue in 2025, CEO Ryan Downing told CDG News.
What they’re saying: Downing said the acquisition came with a lot of positives, including having a new facility, a solid price point, and it made good geographic sense in relation to the group’s Louisiana stores.
“I just think Alabama is a business-friendly state, too,” Downing said.
What’s next: The group wants to keep expanding in new markets, Downing said, especially in Texas and the Southeast.
