Driving the news: Rafih Auto Group has snagged Toyota of Warren in Ohio, marking the group’s first Toyota dealership in the U.S. and adding another location to their growing American footprint.
For context: The deal closed April 28, with longtime owners Jim Whetstone, Joseph Marzullo, and Tim Marburger saying goodbye to this particular location while keeping their other dealerships in Ohio and New York.
Why it matters: This is classic automotive retail consolidation in action. Rafih Auto Group, led by Chairman and CEO Terry Rafih, already operates 27 dealerships across Canada and the U.S. with a lineup of 30 brands including luxury heavyweights like Bentley, Rolls Royce, and Porsche. Now the group is clearly making a strategic push into the American Midwest, with Michigan and Ohio as focal points.
What we're watching: The 25,000+ square-foot facility on five acres isn't changing much beyond ownership. It'll keep the Toyota of Warren name and retain all employees for business continuity.
