Driving the news: Ourisman Cars now operates in four states after acquiring a dealership from Barnes Crossing Auto Group in a deal that closed August 3.
For context: Ourisman purchased Toyota of Roanoke Rapids, in that North Carolina city.
Renamed Ourisman Toyota 95, it’s the group’s second store selling the brand and the first in North Carolina.
The Dave Cantin Group facilitated the transaction.
With the addition, Ourisman owns 18 dealerships, including in its home state of Maryland, Virginia, and Delaware.
What they’re saying: “We thought it presented as a terrific, relatively uncomplicated opportunity for us to enter into a new state with a premier brand like Toyota,” Robert Ourisman Jr., CEO of his namesake group, told CDG News via text. “We look forward to serving our new customers from Raleigh all the way up to Richmond!”
