Driving the news: indiGO Auto Group acquired a slew of luxury dealerships from Van Housen Automotive Group in a deal that closed July 30.
For context: indiGo purchased San Francisco Exotic Cars, a dealership representing Lamborghini, Bentley, Maserati, Pagani and Alfa Romeo in San Rafael, California.
Von Housen acquired San Francisco Exotic Cars in 2025 in a transaction that also included Ferrari of San Francisco. Ferrari will stay with Van Housen.
The Presidio Group represented Van Housen, a dealership group owned by George Grinzewitsch, which specializes in luxury and exotic vehicles.
What they’re saying: Grinzewitsch said in a statement that indiGo Auto was the correct company to take over the brands.
"As we evaluated our long-term priorities, including our exclusive representation of the iconic Ferrari brand in the Bay Area, we determined this was the right time to place San Francisco Exotic Cars with an organization dedicated to representing the specific brands retailed at this dealership," Grinzewitsch said.
Strategic note: Presidio said this transaction demonstrates the importance of matching distinctive luxury brands with an ownership group capable of supporting them.
