Driving the news: Clay Carlock of Carlock Automotive Group purchased Carver Toyota of Columbus in Taylorsville, Indiana, from Roy Carver and Ashley Jannie. The deal closed March 19.
For context: This is Carlock’s first dealership in Indiana.
The store was renamed Carlock Toyota of Columbus.
Jannie is expected to keep working at the dealership, Mark Shackelford Jr. of Performance Brokerage Services told CDG News.
A team of three from Performance’s Midwest Office East, including Shackelford Jr., represented the sellers, and another team of three from Performance’s Southeast office advised the buyers.
Bottom line: The deal highlights continued interest in Toyota dealerships, Shackelford Jr. said. “We hear that every day, that people want a Toyota dealership,” he said.
