Driving the news: Auto Gallery Automotive Group purchased a dealership from AW Automotive Group in a deal that closed June 1.
For context: Nissan of Macomb is in Clinton Twp., Michigan, nearly 30 miles north of Detroit.
The store is Auto Gallery’s first dealership in the state.
It will be renamed Nissan Macomb.
Robert Schlicht, Mike Funk, and Shinthya Silva of Dealer Solutions Mergers & Acquisitions represented the sellers.
What they’re saying: Schlicht told CDG News that the Georgia-based group was interested in a Nissan dealership since they are familiar with the brand.
And, they fell in love with this one after seeing it in person, especially because it’s newer and image compliant.
“They really liked the area and look forward to investing in the community there,” Schlict said.
