Driving the news: ALM Automotive Group has scooped up five dealerships in Georgia from Five Star Automotive in a deal that closed December 15, according to sell-side advisors at The Presidio Group.
For context: The sale covered Genesis of Macon, Five Star Mazda, Five Star Hyundai Warner Robins, Five Star Hyundai Macon, and Five Star Chrysler-Dodge-Jeep-Ram Macon.
For ALM, this is part of a broader push to build up its franchised dealership portfolio under CEO Khush Bhatia.
And the Macon and Warner Robins markets fit squarely into ALM's footprint.
What they're saying: "Strategic portfolio management is becoming a hallmark of leading dealership groups," said George Karolis, president of The Presidio Group. "We foresee many more targeting such actions as we head into 2026."
Bottom line: Strong buyer demand for Southern dealerships with solid fundamentals in high-growth metro markets is showing no signs of slowing down.
